Tom Dennis

Tarndie

Tom is the current custodian of a 6 generation farm in south west Victoria. His ancestors started growing wool in 1840 at Tarndwarncoort with each generation adapting the flock to suit the climate and market. It’s the home of the Polwarth sheep breed ever since Tom’s great-great grandfather Richard worked on a comeback style sheep for a higher rainfall. Today, Tom along with his partner Jason, parents Wendy and Dave and alongside a raft of growers, processors, fibre crafters and community produce a brand of craft wool and operate accommodation and events at the heritage listed site 1.5 hours west of Melbourne in the Great Ocean Road hinterland.
