Shu

Notions, swifits, yarn winders

Bean Town Shu is based in the outskirts of the Canberra area and works with recycled or scrap timbers to create tools and accessories for fibrecrafts.

Like many other crafters, Shu has failed to stick to one craft but has fortunately found great synergy between woodworking and knitting. She chooses to work within the margins by working with scrap and recycled woods to reduce her environmental impact. These woods are primarily hardwoods and come in a variety of species, grains, shapes and sizes meaning each piece is unique.

The product line is constantly expanding as people keep making suggestions and requests, especially since Shu loves to craft niche tools to fit oddly specific holes in life. It currently includes shawl pins, icord tools, nostepinnes, yarn swifts, darning mushrooms, yarn kebabs and knit blockers.
