Great Southern Yarn’s beautiful 100% SRS Merino (non-mulesed) yarn is sourced from Mt Bodangora near Dubbo.

All of their fibres for their blends are sourced directly from single origin sources, under ethical agreements with the farmer directly. Their suppliers are selected based on their quality of product as well as their treatment of the animals and sustainability practices.

These raw fleeces are then exported to New Zealand for scouring at the Canterbury Wool Scours in Timaru. After scouring, they are sent to Design Spun Mills in Napier.

The yarn then returns to Australia to be sold as naked skeins or to be hand-dyed by Aleashia.
